Zimbabwe to host Bangladesh for a full series in June-July

Zimbabwe will host Bangladesh for a full series, starting next month, Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed on Friday (May 22). Over two venues, the two teams will play one Test, three One-Day Internationals, and three Twenty20 Internationals. Bangladesh will first play a one-off Test match, starting on June 28 in Harare. The last time (2025) they met in a Test series, Zimbabwe picked up a memorable win before Bangladesh clawed back to finish it 1-1. The teams will then be involved in a three-match ODI series scheduled on July 6, 9 and 11 at the same venue. Following the conclusion of the ODIs, the teams will travel to Bulawayo for the three T20Is, scheduled to be held on July 15, 17 and 19. Bangladesh's most recent visit to Zimbabwe came in 2022 when the hosts triumphed in both the ODIs and the T20Is. This will be Zimbabwe's first assignment in international cricket ever since they put up an impressive show in the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka to reach the Super Eights for the first time. ZC Managing Director Givemore Makoni stated, "We are delighted to confirm Bangladesh's tour of Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a highly competitive and exciting series across all formats." "This tour is hugely significant for us as it marks the return of top-level international cricket to our home venues following the team's outstanding performances at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup earlier this year."
