Urvil Patel equals record for fastest fifty in IPL history

Urvil Patel, a batsman for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), broke the IPL record for the fastest fifty by scoring a half-century in 13 balls against Lucknow Super Giants at Chepauk. He shares the record with Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 98 not out against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens in IPL 2023 with a half-century off 13 balls. Patel's half-century was also the second-fastest in all of T20 cricket. Dipendra Singh Airee of Nepal holds the record for the fastest fifty in T20 cricket.
