Trio of Auguste, Andrew and Springer Earn West Indies T20I Recall
West Indies named a 15-player squad for the 3-match T20I series vs Sri Lanka in Jamaica, with 3 changes from the T20 World Cup squad: In: Young batters Ackeem Auguste and Jewel Andrew, plus all-rounder Shamar Springer. Out: Johnson Charles, Quentin Sampson and Jayden Seales dropped. Fast bowler Alzarri Joseph rested for workload management ahead of the 2-Test series in Antigua.
Auguste, 22, has played nine T20Is, 19-year-old Andrew has five caps in the format and allrounder Springer has previously played on six occasions. Shamar Joseph, who left the ODI squad to return home for personal reasons, is expected to rejoin ahead of the T20I series.
Ackeem Auguste, 22: 9 T20Is, 164 runs at SR 138.98. One 50 vs Bangladesh last year. Jewel Andrew, 19: 5 T20Is, 78 runs. Last played vs Nepal in 2025.Shamar Springer: 6 T20Is, 71 runs at SR 157.77 + 8 wickets at 14.12. Took 4-for vs Afghanistan earlier this year.

The T20I series takes place at Sabina Park on June 11, 13 and 14. They are followed by two Tests in Antigua. Sri Lanka won the ODI series 1-0 with the final two matches washed out.
