Suryansh Shedge Replaces Injured Hardik Pandya in India A

Late Squad Change: Young Mumbai seam-bowling all-rounder Suryansh Shedge has been drafted into the India A squad as a direct replacement for senior all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

Hardik's Injury Setback: Hardik Pandya was ruled out after an MRI revealed mild right medial tibial stress syndrome, further delaying his competitive return. Opportunity for Shedge: The 23-year-old all-rounder returns to match fitness following a minor quadriceps injury and steps up to the squad after gaining international exposure with India's T20I side.

Ranji Trophy Impact: Due to his call-up to the India A setup in Puducherry, Shedge will miss Mumbai’s upcoming Ranji Trophy opening fixture against Chandigarh.

Edwards had left the Australia A squad last month to join the senior team in South Africa, where he also made his ODI debut. Hardie, meanwhile, has been ruled out of the series with a minor knee complaint.

The first one-dayer on October 6 will be a day-night game, starting at 2pm local time, while the second and third matches on October 9 and October 11 will be day games starting at 9am.
