Super Giants storm into Men's Hundred final thanks to Walter and Tongue

Manchester Super Giants booked their spot in the final against Trent Rockets at Lord's after defeating Sunrisers Leeds by 20 runs in the Eliminator at the Kia Oval.

Firepower in the Middle: After losing Tim Seifert to the second ball of the innings, Super Giants recovered via Jos Buttler (33 off 20) before Paul Walter and Heinrich Klaasen took full control.

Crucial Stand: Walter blasted 80 off 46 balls with eight sixes, while Klaasen smashed 63 off just 26 balls (four sixes). The duo shared a explosive 114-run partnership off 52 balls to propel Super Giants to an imposing 186/4.

Tongue's Early Blows: In reply, Josh Tongue broke the chase early by removing opening powerhouses Mitchell Marsh (10) and Zak Crawley (lbw for 6).

Brook's Counter-Attack Cut Short: Harry Brook kept Sunrisers alive with a 31-ball 49 before falling lbw to Sonny Baker. Sunrisers were out of reviews after an earlier failed appeal by Crawley, meaning Brook couldn't challenge the decision despite replays showing the ball pitched outside off.

Run Chase Falls Short: Ryan Rickelton carried his bat with an unbeaten 54 off 34, but Sunrisers ran out of overs and finished on 166/7, 20 runs adrift. Late Inning Restraint: Sunrisers Leeds were penalized for a slow over rate, forcing them to bring an extra fielder into the ring for the final seven balls. Matthew Revis and Matthew Potts capitalized on the restriction, yielding only six runs and running out Paul Walter (80 off 46) on the final ball to restrict Manchester Super Giants to 186/4.

Early Breakthroughs: Chasing 187, Sunrisers' opening partnership was broken early by Josh Tongue, who removed Mitchell Marsh before trapping captain Zak Crawley lbw to leave Sunrisers in early trouble.

Brook's Counter & DRS Controversy: Harry Brook mounted a rapid recovery with 49 off 30 balls before being given out lbw off Sonny Baker. Sunrisers were unable to challenge the decision via DRS because Crawley had already burned their sole review—replays subsequently showed the ball pitched outside off.

Rickelton Starved of Strike: Ryan Rickelton anchored the chase with an unbeaten 54 off 34 balls, but was starved of strike throughout the innings (facing only 20 of the first 75 deliveries) as Manchester Super Giants closed out a 20-run win.

Manchester Super Giants 186 for 4 (Walter 80, Klaasen 63) beat Sunrisers Leeds 166 for 7 (Rickelton 54*, Brook 49, Tongue 4-26) by 20 runs
