Sri Lanka Eye ODI Turnaround in England After T20I Series Sweep

Sri Lanka head into the three-match ODI series in Durham targeting a complete reset following a tough 3-0 sweep by England in the preceding T20I leg.

Format Switch: Following a comprehensive defeat in the T20I series, Sri Lanka turn their attention to the 50-over format, aiming to re-establish consistency and competitive form on English soil.  

Venue & Schedule: The 1st ODI takes place at the Riverside Ground in Durham on September 22, before the series moves on to Leeds and London for the remaining fixtures.  

England's Setup: Home side England enter the ODI phase with a revamped line-up, promoting Tom Banton to open the innings alongside a rested and reshuffled white-ball core.

Sri Lanka's Challenge: Battling a tough tour so far, Charith Asalanka's side will look to rely on their experienced top order and bowling group to counter England's aggressive style and turn around their fortunes in the 50-over leg.

The surface at Durham looked green on the eve of the match, but with plenty of sunshine falling on it on Monday, a good batting track is expected. Fine weather is forecast for Tuesday, with temperatures getting up into the low 20-degrees Celsius range.
