Sooryavanshi's Explosive 175 Leads India to Record Sixth Under-19 World Cup Triumph

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's explosive 175 off 80 balls led India to a record sixth Under-19 World Cup title, defeating England by 100 runs. Sooryavanshi's innings included 15 fours and 15 sixes, setting multiple records, including the highest individual score in a U-19 World Cup final. India's total of 411/9 was the highest in a tournament final. Sooryavanshi's performance earned him the Player of the Tournament award. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's explosive batting led India to a commanding position against England in the U-19 World Cup final. After England's early strike, Sooryavanshi and captain Ayush Mhatre put on 142 runs in just 15 overs, with Sooryavanshi's aggressive knock setting the tone. He then added 78 runs with Vedant Trivedi for the third wicket, propelling India's innings into overdrive. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was unstoppable! He smashed his way to a century in just 55 balls, and then went on to 150 in another 16 balls. England's spinners, Farhan Ahmed and Ralphie Albert, were left flailing as Sooryavanshi unleashed a barrage of sixes. His forehand smash off a Green bouncer was a highlight, going straight back over the bowler's head into the sightscreen! He eventually fell, gloving behind off Manny Lumsden, but not before India reached a mammoth 411/9, breaching 400 in the final over. Mayes struck seven fours and two sixes but fell the ball after retaking top spot from Sooryavanshi on the tournament run-scorers' list. Thomas Rew, England's captain, blazed out of the blocks with 31 off 18 and Dawkins notched a 49-ball fifty - but the latter's dismissal sparked a collapse of 4 for 3 in nine balls as India's grip tightened. For England, Caleb Falconer struck a scintillating 63-ball hundred in response, but there was too much left to do and he was last out as India regained the Under-19 title, having lost the final to Australia two years ago.
