Siraj named Hyderabad captain for upcoming Ranji Trophy

The Hyderabad team's captain has been named Mohammed Siraj. This month's Ranji Trophy matches against Mumbai and Chhattisgarh will be led by him. Siraj will succeed Rahul Singh as captain for the first time this season.

With one win and one draw from five games, Hyderabad is fourth in Elite Group D. On January 22, they host Mumbai in Hyderabad, and on January 29, they host Chhattisgarh, their final league match, also at home. Vice-captain has been given to Rahul Singh.

At an average of 23.29 and a strike rate of 45.2, he has taken 77 wickets. Siraj has claimed 309 wickets at an average of 26.44 over 88 first-class matches.

The selection committee, which also includes Aman Rao Perala, who recently scored a double century in a Vijay Hazare Trophy game, made the appointment of Siraj public on Wednesday.
