Sikandar Raza to Captain Zimbabwe in UAE Tri-Series as Richard Ngarava Sidelined

Leadership Takeover: Veteran all-rounder Sikandar Raza will captain Zimbabwe across both limited-overs formats (ODIs and T20Is) for their upcoming multi-format tour and tri-series in the UAE.

Ngarava Sidelined: Raza steps into the captaincy role due to the ongoing absence of frontline pace spearhead Richard Ngarava, who continues to recover from a persistent lower-back injury.

UAE Tri-Series Context: The tour features high-stakes limited-overs fixtures against competitive international opponents in conditions tailored to prepare Zimbabwe's squad for upcoming global qualifying cycles.

Squad Balance: Zimbabwe's selectors have named experienced campaigners alongside emerging prospects to bolster a transitional group, relying heavily on Raza's wealth of international experience to guide the side in Ngarava's absence.
