Saira Jabeen, Humna Bilal get maiden T20I call-ups for South Africa tour
As Pakistan announced the white-ball squads for the tour of South Africa, uncapped batter Saira Jabeen and right-arm fast bowler Humna Bilal received their first T20I calls. As Pakistan prepares for the ICC Women's T20I World Cup in June, Fatima Sana will continue to serve as captain in both formats.
Both the ODI and T20I squads include Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Gull Feroza, Muneeba Ali, Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadia Iqbal, Sidra Amin, and Tasmia Rubab.
Only the ODI squad includes Diana Baig, Najiha Alvi, Sadaf Shamas, and Syeda Aroob Shah. The T20I squad only includes Humna Bilal, Saira Jabeen, Tuba Hassan, and Eyman Fatima.
After not being selected for the ODI World Cup, Ayesha, Gull, Tasmia, and wicketkeeper Najiha Alvi return to the ODI team.
From February 1 through February 6, a training camp for the pre-series will be held at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi.
From 10 to 16 February, the T20I series will be played in Potchefstroom, Benoni, and Kimberley, with day-night matches for each location. Before the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series, which will take place in Bloemfontein, Centurion, and Durban between February 22 and March 1, Pakistan will then play a 50-over warm-up match in Kimberley.
