Rossouw, bowlers hand Rawalpindiz fifth straight defeat

Quetta Gladiators defeated Rawalpindiz, who suffered their fifth defeat in a row in PSL 2026, by a commanding 61 runs to get back to winning ways. The game was set up by a strong batting effort led by Rilee Rossouw's half-century before the bowlers comfortably won it by bowling Rawalpindiz out for 121 in 18 overs. Rawalpindiz's pursuit of 183 never really got off the ground. They lost Mohammad Rizwan with the first ball and continued to lose wickets frequently. The innings collapsed after 76/3, with seven wickets yielding only 45 runs. Saad Masood's late 31 off 19 gave them something to cheer about, but they were nowhere in the contest. Saud Shakeel, Jahandad Khan and Usman Tariq picked up two wickets each. Earlier, Rossouw anchored the innings with 53 while Saud Shakeel added 42 in an 87-run stand for the second wicket that laid the platform. Following Hasan Nawaz's quick 39 off 16 balls, which included five sixes, Jahandad completed the scoring with an unbeaten 21 off six balls, bringing Quetta's total to 182/6. With Ben Sears taking three wickets, Rawalpindiz had their moments with the bat, but they were unable to prevent Quetta from reaching a total that proved to be too much for the night.
