Pakistan unveil bumper home season with SL Tests, T20Is and England tri-series

Pakistan will host a busy home season over October and November 2026 featuring a bilateral Test and T20I series against Sri Lanka, as well as a three-nation ODI triangular series involving England.

T20I Series vs Sri Lanka: The season opens with a three-match T20I series in Rawalpindi on October 9, 11, and 13—marking Pakistan's first T20I appearances since the 2026 T20 World Cup.

ODI Tri-Series (Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England):

Played as a double-round-robin starting October 18 in Rawalpindi.

England join the action on October 20 (vs Pakistan) and October 22 (vs Sri Lanka) before the tournament moves to Lahore.

The top two teams will meet in the Final at Lahore on October 31.

Marks the second consecutive year Pakistan has hosted an ODI tri-series (following 2025's series with South Africa and New Zealand).

World Test Championship Series vs Sri Lanka:

1st Test: November 9–13 (Rawalpindi) 2nd Test: November 17–21 (Lahore)

Preceded by a three-day warm-up match for Sri Lanka in Islamabad.

Tour Context for England: This tri-series kicks off a packed winter for England, who travel directly to Australia (3 ODIs, 5 T20Is) before touring South Africa for three Tests and three ODIs in December–January, followed by two Tests in Bangladesh in February.

The ODI tri-series is the first assignment of a busy 2026-27 winter for England. They will travel to Australia for three ODIs and five T20Is straight after, before a tour to South Africa in December-January which entails three Tests and three ODIs. After that, they will tour Bangladesh for two Tests in February, before returning to Australia for the 150th anniversary Test at the MCG in March.
