Ongoing Frustration: Shardul Thakur Ruled Out of Another Mumbai Ranji Trophy Fixture

Sidelined Again: Shardul Thakur, Mumbai's seam-bowling allrounder, has been ruled out of their upcoming Ranji Trophy third-round match against Haryana at the BKC complex.

Injury Details: Thakur sustained a fracture to his right middle finger while training before the opening round of the season. Although initial expectations were that he would only miss the first two fixtures, he is still not fully match-fit.

Current Activities: While continuing his rehab, Thakur has been training with the squad and recently made a public appearance at a Major League Baseball event in Mumbai alongside Suryakumar Yadav. He is also slated to do commentary for upcoming T20Is as India plays in New Zealand.

Mumbai's Squad & Depleted Line-Up

Unchanged Squad: Mumbai has named an unchanged squad from the side that secured a bonus-point victory against Himachal Pradesh in Bilaspur.

Missing Stars: Mumbai continues to navigate a severely depleted roster due to injuries and national commitments. New vice-captain Ayush Mhatre is out with a hamstring injury, while Yashasvi Jaiswal is away with the Test squad in New Zealand.

Reinforcements: To bolster the ranks following earlier absences, opening batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi and allrounder Suryansh Shedge joined the squad prior to the second round.

Standings: Despite missing key personnel, Mumbai currently sits at the top of Elite Group D with 14 points.
