Mohammad Nabi left out as Afghanistan name squad for Ireland ODIs

Mohammad Nabi, the veteran all-rounder, has been left out of Afghanistan’s 15-player squad named, on Friday, for the five-match One-Day International series against Ireland. Afghanistan have instead recalled pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi and also included Yamin Ahmadzai, Saleem Safi for the series. The remaining two players from the team that traveled to India last month were Fareed Malik and Bilal Sami. Rahmat Shah, who will be captaining the national team for the first time, will be in charge of the group. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, meanwhile, will serve as his deputy. The five-match series which is set to begin on August 5 at the Bready Cricket Ground in Magheramason on August 7. The second match will also be played at the same venue before the teams travel to Belfast to play the last three matches of the series, scheduled to be played on August 10, 12, and 15.
