The Perth Scorchers have officialized a one-year contract extension with Sophie Devine for the WBBL 2026 season. Marking her seventh consecutive year with the franchise, Devine will continue to bolster the Scorchers following last season's runner-up finish, where they were defeated in the final by the Hobart Hurricanes.

Contract Details: Devine has signed a short-term, one-year deal for WBBL 2026. She previously played five seasons with the Adelaide Strikers before joining Perth.

Captaincy & Titles: Led the Scorchers to their first-ever WBBL title in 2021.

All-Round Performance: Stands as the team's second-highest run-scorer (2,021 runs) behind Beth Mooney (3,024 runs) and holds the third-highest wicket count (64 wickets) for the franchise.
