Litton Das back in Bangladesh Test fold for Australia clash

Litton Das has been added to Bangladesh's Test squad for their upcoming two-match series against Australia, having recovered from a left calf injury. Injury Recovery: Litton had been sidelined since sustaining a left calf injury during the home ODI series against Australia in June, which also forced him to miss Bangladesh's tour of Zimbabwe in June and July. Form & Impact: His return provides a major boost to the squad. In his last Test appearance, he earned Player of the Match honors after scoring 126 and 69 in Bangladesh's 72-run win against Pakistan in Sylhet. Schedule: Litton flies to Darwin on Sunday to join the squad. Bangladesh will play a warm-up match against a Cricket Australia XI from August 6–8 before the first Test begins on August 13 in Darwin. The second Test starts on August 22 in Mackay. Bangladesh last played a Test series against Australia in 2017, when they took a 1-0 lead in Mirpur before the visitors drew level in Chattogram. Australia are currently on top of the World Test Championship points table, while Bangladesh are in fifth place thanks to their recent 2-0 win at home against Pakistan. More recently, however, Bangladesh lost a one-off Test in Zimbabwe, a fixture that was not part of the World Test Championship.
