Hyderabad Cruises to 65 Runs Win Over Kolkata at Eden

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) dominated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens, winning by 65 runs. SRH posted a strong total of 226/8, thanks to Heinrich Klaasen's 52 and Abhishek Sharma's 48. KKR's bowlers struggled, with Blessing Muzarabani picking up 4 wickets. That’s it, Unadkat has picked up the final wicket of Varun Chakarvarthy. It is a proper drubbing for Kolkata playing at home. Hyderabad, who looked out of sorts in the opening game, have come up with good plans with the ball and have managed to pull off a win and get of the mark. Raghuvanshi did bat well for Kolkata, but they needed someone to get to that score of 80-90. As per the bowling, as mentioned, plans have been superb from SRH. They saw what KKR did in the first innings and stuck to similar lengths and got the results. That’s it from us folks, do join us tomorrow for Punjab vs Chennai match. Eeshan Malinga has picked up two more wickets. First, it was Sunil Narine with a slower ball who skied one in the air, and then it was Ramandeep Singh who hit it straight to point. Kolkata have fallen apart here. Apart from that innings from Raghuvanshi, no batter could spend time in the middle and most importantly could not stitch the partnerships that could take them closer to the target. As we update Kolkata has lost another wicket and it is Unadkat who picked up the wicket of Karthik Tyagi and SRH are one wicket away from registering their first win this season. The Sunrisers Hyderabad registered their first win of the season as they defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. SRH put on a huge target of 226 runs at the end of their 20 overs, largely thanks to a solid start from their opening duo. Batting first, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head gave the visitors a blistering start. Sharma scored 48 runs off 21 balls, while Head scored 46 runs in 21 balls. After both the openers were dismissed, Heinrich Klassen stabilised the innings, scoring 52 runs of 35 balls. Heinrich Klaasen: 52 runs off 35 balls, Abhishek Sharma: 48 runs off 21 balls, Blessing Muzarabani: 4 wickets, Jaydev Unadkat: 3 wickets Nitish Kumar Reddy, ended SRH's innings with a bang, taking their team to 226 runs at the end of their innings. For KKR, Blessing Muzarabani was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4 wickets, including 2 in the final over. In response, KKR collapsed to 161/10, with Muzarabani's bowling prowess and SRH's overall team effort proving too much. Jaydev Unadkat took 3 wickets for SRH, while Eshan Malinga and Harsh Dubey also chipped in with crucial wickets.
