Deepti Sharma, an India all-rounder, moved up four spots to be second in the ICC women's T20I bowlers' rankings, and Shafali Verma moved up one spot to be sixth in the batters' rankings.
Deepti picked up 14 wickets in India's victorious Asia Cup campaign to finish as the leading wicket-taker. Shafali topped the run charts with 236 runs including three fifties at a strike rate of 171.01. With just four rating points between the two India openers, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana remains in fifth place.
India defeated Sri Lanka by 72 runs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday to clinch their eighth Asia Cup title.
The bowlers rankings is continued to be led by India's left-arm spinner N Shree Charani, who now has her career-best 804 points. It surpasses Mithali Raj's record of 780 points set in 2011 and is two points shy of Megan Schutt's all-time record set in 2018.
Chamari Athapaththu, the captain of Sri Lanka, improved from 27th in the bowling rankings to third in the T20I all-rounders' rankings after taking seven wickets for five runs against Indonesia.
