Controversy Follows Agha's Dismissal, Calls for Sportsmanship

Shoaib Malik has urged for sportsmanship after his controversial dismissal in a match, saying "sportsman spirit" is needed in such situations. The dismissal sparked debate, with Agha calling for fair play. Agha's 64 went for a duck as he got run out in a bizarre incident. He was backing up when Mehidy snatched the ball and stumped him. Understandably, Agha's calling for sportsman spirit. Agha reactedly furiously to the dismissal, throwing his gloves and helmet down in disgust at the decision. However, he later came to the post-match press conference, ahead of captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and player of the match Maaz Sadaqat, to clear the air. Agha's all about sportsmanship, even when it costs him. He acknowledges Mehidy's action was within the rules, but wishes he'd shown more spirit. "We haven't done this previously, we would never do that in the future" says it all.Agha explained that he had been trying to pick up the ball to give to Miraz, thinking it was likely to have been called dead. "Actually, the ball hit on my pad and then my bat," he said. "So I thought he can't get me run-out now, because the ball already hit on my pad and my bat. Agha's owning up to his reaction, calling it a heat-of-the-moment thing. He wishes he'd handled it differently, but says it's understandable given the intensity. He was also involved in a robust exchange with Bangladesh wicketkeeper Litton Das, though he didn't divulge many of the details. Agha's brushing it off, laughing off the heated exchange. "Heat of the moment" says it all – tempers flared, but all's good now. Asked if he had patched things up with Mehidy, Agha said: "I haven't yet, but don't worry, I'll find him."
