Bosch, Tunnicliffe propel Proteas Women to 2-0 series lead over Zimbabwe

South Africa Women defeated Zimbabwe Women by 64 runs in the 2nd T20I at Bulawayo to lead the series 2-0.

South Africa Women's Innings (193/3):

Anneke Bosch led the attack with a 24-ball fifty, scoring 65 runs overall to setup South Africa's fifth-highest T20I total. Faye Tunnicliffe reached a 33-ball half-century, remaining undefeated on 52* alongside Annerie Dercksen in an unbroken 88-run 4th-wicket stand.

Zimbabwe Women's Innings (129/7):

Legspinner Seshnie Naidu posted career-best figures of 3 for 26 to dismantle Zimbabwe's top order. Anneke Bosch added to her batting display by taking 2 for 5 in two overs.

Christine Mutasa top-scored for Zimbabwe with an unbeaten 30*, sharing a 45-run 8th-wicket stand with Nomvelo Sibanda to ensure Zimbabwe batted out their 20 overs.

There was still time for Bosch's golden arm to give her two wickets in two overs, both lbw decisions which left Zimbabwe 84 for 7 in the 14th over. South Africa may have foreseen an early end to the match but a 45-run eighth-wicket stand between Christine Mutasa and Sibanda ensured Zimbabwe batted out the 20 overs while 17-year-old Mutasa's 30* was more than all the runs she had scored in eight T20Is before this.
