October 2nd 2021, 9:27:00 am
Mumbai Indians are set to lock horns with Delhi Capitals in
match number 46 of the 2021 Indian Premier League at the Sharjah Cricket
Stadium in Sharjah on Saturday, October 2. The Rishabh Pant-led Capitals will
go into the game after three wickets to Kolkata Knight Riders at the same
venue.
But they have a chance to become the second team after
Chennai Super Kings to qualify for the playoffs. Besides this, Pant's men would
also like to finish in the top two to gain two cracks to play in the final. On
the other hand, MI should be full of confidence after defeating Punjab Kings.
Hardik Pandya's late blitz took him over the line in Abu Dhabi. But with no matches being played in Sharjah this season, it will be interesting to see how they adjust to the conditions at the venue. Over the years, the Mumbai team has outperformed DC on several occasions.

Pitch report
Sharjah's pitch has been tough to bat on. Scoring runs has
not been easy by any means. Spinners and slow bowlers are likely to be
affected. Chasing the target should be the way forward for the team winning the
toss as defending will not be an easy task.
